Torre Garcipérez


Cuentan que antes de esta torre, existió otra de estilo mozárabe. La torre actual fue construida en la finca Garcipérez a finales del siglo XIX, en un promontorio, junto a las casas existentes, por un coronel de artillería perteneciente a la familia Fontes, propietarios de la finca. Disponía de varios cañones de salvas que usaban para intercambiar saludos con el conde de Romanones, cuando visitaba su isla de El Barón en el Mar Menor.

They say that before this tower, there was another Mozarabic style. The current tower was built in the Garcipérez estate at the end of the 19th century, on a promontory, next to the existing houses, by an artillery colonel belonging to the Fontes family, owners of the estate.
