Un alto en el camino

El Puig Campana es una montaña que forma parte de las Cordilleras Prebéticas, en el sureste de la Península Ibérica. Con una altitud de 1410 metros y separado del mar Mediterráneo por una distancia de 7,8 km en línea recta, se trata de la segunda cima más elevada de España por proximidad a la costa tras el picu Pienzu, en Asturias. Estas condiciones orográficas, así como su perfil característico y visible desde muchos puntos de la Provincia de Alicante, la convierten en una montaña singular y muy apreciada por los habitantes de la comarca y de toda la provincia.

The Puig Campana is a mountain that is part of the Pre-Betic Cordilleras, in the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula. With an altitude of 1410 meters and separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a distance of 7.8 km in a straight line, it is the second highest peak in Spain due to its proximity to the coast after Picu Pienzu, in Asturias. These orographic conditions, as well as its characteristic and visible profile from many points of the Province of Alicante, make it a unique mountain and very appreciated by the inhabitants of the region and the entire province.
